The W&OD Trail runs from Shirlington near I-395 to Purcellville in Loudoun County. The trail, which bisects Ashburn, is open year-round from dawn to dusk. It consists of 45 miles of multi-use paved trail for walking, running, bicycling, skating and horseback riding. Trail Guide For Sale

Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority (NVRPA) sells the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park Trail Guide. The 54 page color booklet provides updated maps and text, historic railroad pictures, and color photographs of the 45 mile recreational trail.
